Octobre 2023 : Pose de quatre vitraux, dans le chœur de la "grande église" de la paroisse étudiante Sainte Bernadette, à MONTPELLIER. C 'est Pascale qui m'épaule lors du montage des vitraux ; nettoyage des baies existantes, scellement des barlotières, pose des panneaux et jointement. Comme souvent, cela demande un peu de patience avant de découvrir le résultat final, aboutissement du travail élaboré en atelier pendant plusieurs mois !
Puis c'est la joie de voir une première célébration en présence des vitraux tout neufs, et de partager un peu de la vie de la communauté paroissiale, de rencontrer les uns et les autres investis dans ce lieu de vie.
Merci au père Jean Gabriel MOYON qui a fait appel à moi, pour sa confiance et son accueil, ainsi que pour ceux qui nous ont permis de réaliser ce travail dans de bonnes conditions. Merci aux donateurs qui ont financé les vitraux ! Comme c'est important que cette tradition du mécénat artistique perdure et permette d'investir dans la beauté, ce qui est précieux pour aujourd'hui, mais aussi pour les générations futures.
October 2023: Installation of four stained glass windows, in the choir of the "great church" of the student parish Sainte Bernadette, in MONTPELLIER.
It is Pascale who supports me during the assembly of the stained glass windows; cleaning of the existing bays, sealing of the barlotières, laying of the panels and jointing.
As often, it takes a little patience before discovering the final result, the result of the work developed in the workshop!
Then it is the joy of seeing a first celebration in the presence of the brand new stained glass windows, and of sharing a little of the life of the parish community, of meeting each other invested in this place of life.
Thank you to Father Jean Gabriel who appealed to me, for his trust and hospitality, as well as for all those who allowed us to carry out this work in good conditions.
